London New Year Fireworks Display
London New Year fireworks display photos, 2016 to 2019
I have had the privilege of photographing this wonderful event many times from some very exclusive locations and partnering with many photography brands over the years to produce these images: Ricoh UK, Panasonic Lumix, Røde Microphones, Olympus, GoPro, Vanguard UK, Lee Filters and Hasselblad, all made possible with the support of my local camera store SRS Microsystems.
This is a complete collection of my photographs of this event captured over the years.
Every New Year’s Eve at midnight, the London New Year fireworks display lights up the Thames around the London Eye, Big Ben and the London skyline. This archive holds every photo I’ve kept from four of those nights, year by year, with the camera and the rooftop I shot from for each one.
In 2016 and 2017 I was on the rooftop dome of Methodist Central Hall in Westminster, with Big Ben right beside the fireworks. In 2018 I moved to the roof of Portland House in Victoria to take in the whole London skyline at night. In 2019 Titanium Fireworks, who put on the show, gave me access to the RAF Memorial on the Embankment, right in front of the London Eye.
For a hand-picked selection of my best shots, see my New Year’s Eve in London portfolio.
