London Skyline

London Skyline Photography

Not every picture here started as a skyline job. Some I took while scouting rooftops for the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Some I took on other jobs, when the venue happened to have a good view. Other times, the view was the job.

My first paid photography job was a view. After I photographed a charity event at the New Zealand High Commission, one of the guests commissioned my panorama of London from the High Commission’s penthouse. He had it printed full size and built into a wall of his flat. That’s when I realised my pictures were worth paying for.

Since then, I’ve made a 360-degree panorama from the roof of Centre Point to show off a penthouse balcony view. A film company used one of my London panoramas for a visual effects shot in a Paramount Pictures release.

In 2016, Time Out ran 23 of my London photographs.

I took some of these on a Hasselblad H6D-100c that Hasselblad lent me, and the rest on my trusty Pentax. Pentax gave me my K-3 while I was one of their ambassadors.

My biggest panoramas are made from around 50 frames stitched together. They’re too big to show properly on this page.

Commissions and prints

If you’d like a view photographed, or a print big enough for a lobby wall, get in touch. I also license these photographs.

Tap or click any photo to see it full screen. The panoramas look their best on a big screen.
