Londoners welcomed in 2020 with what has been dubbed the London Smoke Display. Without the slightest breeze in the air, there was nothing to take the smoke away.

Every photographer has a list of must-get images. Nothing compares to being front and centre and engulfed in the light from the most awesome visual spectacle I have ever witnessed. For me, this is a bucket list shot well and truly ticked.

I first saw this view over 3 years ago when I was looking for locations to shoot the New Year’s fireworks display from. When I saw this vista I could visualise in my mind’s eye the image I wanted to make.
